Day #177; Loop miles to date = 2,099
Just a quick update...not even any pics to share right now. We left Fort Pierce on Monday and headed to Vero Beach and the Loggerhead Marina there. We had another nice day of travel - a rather short day. We were all tied up and settled in Vero by about noon. This marina is very nice, but there is just not much to do near the marina. We snagged a rental car one day, sharing it with our friends on Corkscrew, and were able to get a bunch of errands and provisioning done. And, our buddies from Act III joined us on Wednesday night and we all had a fun evening together.
On Thursday, we all took off for points north...Act III heading to Titusville, with Corkscrew and us heading to Cocoa. It was a nice travel day...very pleasant, low stress, not much traffic...nice and relaxing.
We've been hanging out at the Cocoa Village Marina, directly adjacent to the Cocoa Village...lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. It has been a nice stop, with lots of fun and plenty of dining with Sonny and Phyllis. The weather changed last night...it went from warm and sticky, to pleasant and breezy with a front that rolled through. We only have about 20 miles to our next destination - Titusville - and we will head out into the breeze and light chop. We'll get a little salty we expect, but it is otherwise a beautiful day.
We are still deciding if we are going to stay in Titusville for a few days and tour the Space Center, or if we will just stop briefly and save the tour for our next trip past this area. We'll decide today, but we're guessing we might skip it this time around and keep heading north.
Stay tuned...
